Choose a ticket route that suits your day

Begin with the visit you want: a reserved seat for a particular day, a flexible wander around the outside courts, or a hospitality package with meals. Those are different purchases. Wimbledon runs 28 June–11 July 2027, but a ticket cannot promise that your favourite player will reach your chosen round or appear on your court. Keep that distinction in mind before organising a special trip.

If your dates are fixed, concentrate on a route that identifies the day before you pay for travel. If you can be flexible, the ballot offers another possibility; if you are prepared for a long outdoor wait, investigate the Queue. Set a total budget including accommodation and transport.

Wimbledon confirms that guests may enter both its Public Ballot and the separate LTA Ballots. Direct LTA eligibility or application questions to the LTA. For wheelchair seating, use the dedicated Wheelchair Ballot and check any companion arrangement with ticketing before booking travel.

Qualifying is a separate purchase at Roehampton. It offers competitive grass-court singles, but it does not admit you to the main Wimbledon grounds. See the qualifying section before making that your tennis day. For a straightforward choice, decide whether you need a reserved seat or whether unreserved courts and the atmosphere will satisfy your plans.

Use the ballot and official advance releases

The 2027 Public Ballot closed at 23:59 BST on 14 September 2026. It opened on 1 September. Entry needed a myWimbledon account and a separate ballot application; account registration alone was insufficient. Successful applicants receive offers by email from October 2026 onwards. Check junk folders and the payment deadline in the offer. The ballot allocates the day, court and seat: it is unsuitable if only one particular date will work for you.

Keep your account details current and read ticket messages carefully. An application, a successful offer and a paid ticket are separate stages. When an offer arrives, compare its date with your calendar, check the payment instructions and decide promptly. Do not assume that an allocation can be changed to a more convenient day or traded with somebody else.

Additional advance tickets depend on the organiser’s releases and eligibility. Follow myWimbledon and the official ticket pages, and check who can buy before making plans around a release. A cardmember phase is useful only if you meet its conditions. Avoid treating an unofficial advertisement as evidence that ordinary Wimbledon tickets can be freely resold.

Plan the Queue and understand on-site resale

The Queue is the on-day route, beginning in Wimbledon Park. In 2026 guests needed the Wimbledon app and their own myWimbledon account. Stewards issue a dated, numbered Queue Card; keep it with you. The card establishes your position but cannot guarantee entry once the grounds reach capacity. One person cannot hold a place for a friend.

A Queue attempt needs a practical plan: where you will sleep, how you will reach Wimbledon Park, and what you will do if entry is unavailable. Check the live status before setting out. Do not reserve a rigid onward connection around an imagined purchase time. The wait and grounds capacity decide what is possible on the day.

Official on-site resale becomes relevant after you have admission. It depends on returned show-court seats, so treat it as a possible upgrade. Buying a grounds pass is worthwhile only if you would enjoy the grounds even without an upgrade. Find transport and areas to stay in the full guide before committing to a Queue trip.

Wimbledon ticket FAQs

Can I still apply for the 2027 ballot?

The application window has closed. See the ballot section above for the confirmed deadline and use the organiser’s official alternatives.

Does a grounds pass include Centre Court?

It does not give you a reserved Centre Court seat. Buy the appropriate court ticket or explore official on-site resale after admission.

Can I choose a particular player?

A ticket identifies a day and court, not a promised player. Check the Order of Play when it is published.

Can I sell an ordinary Wimbledon ticket?

Ordinary tickets have transfer restrictions. Debenture tickets are the permitted transferable category; read the applicable terms before buying or selling.

Is qualifying included?

No. Roehampton qualifying has a separate ticket and venue. Check its booking page and confirmed dates before travelling.
