Who we write for

We write for people who want to turn live tennis into a well-planned day out or trip away. You might be buying your first ticket, choosing a family visit, returning to a favourite tournament or fitting a session into a city break. We start with the practical questions: what does the ticket include, how do you reach the right gate, where could you stay, and how will you get back afterwards?

You do not need to know the tour calendar by heart. Our guides explain the choices in plain language and link to the organiser for the final booking details. We want you to arrive with a realistic plan and enough flexibility to enjoy a match that runs longer than expected.

What we cover

Our scope is worldwide: the four Grand Slams and men’s and women’s tour events at 250 level and above. The directory groups destinations by country and identifies tournaments, categories, surfaces and the usual part of the year. We distinguish the destination from its competitions, particularly where men’s and women’s events share a site or use different weeks.

A linked full guide provides a more detailed visit plan. Other directory entries remain starting points for future coverage; listing a destination does not mean every edition’s calendar and ticket policy has been audited. We label provisional dates and explain when a past edition supplies a useful comparison.

How we research

We use tournament organisers for dates, ticket access and entry rules, transport operators for journeys and accessibility, and official travel advice for UK visitors abroad. We put source links beside practical information and show checked dates. When sources disagree, we prefer the organisation responsible for the service and explain the distinction that matters to the journey.

Edition labels are part of the advice. A 2026 fare or packing rule is not automatically a 2027 promise. Accommodation areas and travel allowances are editorial estimates, and sterling examples use a named, dated exchange rate. Always check the current official information before committing to a trip. Our Sources and updates page explains the approach and lists the latest checks.

How hotel links support the site

Some hotel buttons lead to Booking.com through the CJ affiliate network. We may earn a commission if you book through some links, at no extra cost to you. That commission helps support the guides. The linked provider sets its prices, availability, taxes and booking conditions; we do not sell rooms or take your payment.

An area recommendation is a starting point for comparison, not a promise about a particular property. Check the hotel’s location, accessibility, room type and cancellation deadline yourself. We keep hotel searches separate from official tennis ticket routes. Read our Affiliate disclosure for more detail.

Independent visitor advice

We are independent and are not affiliated with the AELTC, LTA, ATP, WTA or any tournament organiser. Official links are there so you can check details and book through the appropriate source. A link does not imply endorsement, partnership or priority access. We cannot guarantee a player’s appearance, a seat allocation or availability at a hotel.

If you spot an error, email webmaster@offtothetennis.com with the page address, the detail that needs correction and a current official source if you have one. Tell us which tournament year you mean. We review corrections against the responsible source and update the relevant record, so useful changes can appear consistently across the guide and directory.
