2027 planning: the published 2027 event range is provisional. Prices, daily schedules and visitor arrangements from 2026 are clearly labelled; check the new edition before booking.

The tournament in brief

The Lexus Eastbourne Open brings men’s ATP 250 and women’s WTA 250 grass-court tennis together at Devonshire Park, close to the seafront. The LTA publishes 19–26 June 2027 as a provisional event range. Its 2027 hospitality listing also identifies both competitions at 250 level, with packages for 21–26 June. That package window helps with planning, but does not turn the provisional full calendar into a confirmed daily schedule.

The tennis centre sits on College Road, Eastbourne BN21 4JJ. Centre Court is the principal arena, with other match and practice courts making the early rounds an attractive time to explore. A combined event gives you the chance to watch both tours on one visit, depending on the daily court programme. Check the Order of Play before choosing which courts to follow; a favourite player’s entry or progress cannot be guaranteed.

Qualifying

In 2026, qualifying was scheduled for 20–21 June, before the main draw on 22–27 June. The detailed 2027 qualifying dates and prices will be added nearer the tournament. Keep those old dates as an example of the event’s shape, and wait for the new product before booking a qualifying-only trip. The provisional 19–26 June range is not a promise that every day has the same admission or main-court programme.

Qualifying is competitive singles tennis for places in the main draw. It can suit visitors who like moving between courts and discovering players. Read the admission description carefully: a qualifying product, grounds pass and reserved Centre Court seat can have different inclusions. Allow a full outdoor day if you want several matches, and plan a break between them rather than treating the opening weekend as a short practice visit.

How to get tickets

The official LTA ticket page is the starting point for public admission and hospitality. As checked in October 2026, the 2027 standard ticket prices and on-sale dates are still to be announced. Sign up for Advantage ticket news and check the membership category attached to any priority release. A hospitality product being available does not mean that all ordinary day tickets are already on sale.

Start on the organiser’s ticket page, choose your date and read the booking summary carefully: court, seat category, number of people and any booking fee should all match your plan. Save the confirmation and check when tickets appear in the Courtside app. Arrange transfers through the official process if friends arrive separately. Hospitality can simplify a celebration, but compare the actual court seat, food, drinks and cancellation conditions before paying for a package.

No numeric 2027 standard-ticket price is quoted here because the organiser has not published that grid. Keep booking fees and package extras in your comparison, and use the official booking summary for the actual total. Pick a day that fits your trip before choosing a seat: a cheap ticket on an awkward travel date can cost more overall.

Which ticket and which day

Early main-draw days are the strongest choice for a broad combined-event experience. You can follow several singles contests, look at doubles and take breaks without putting all your hopes on one match. Later rounds offer bigger individual occasions, with fewer singles matches spread across the grounds. A reserved Centre Court seat can suit someone who wants to sit down for a sustained programme rather than keep looking for space.

The 2026 programme put quarter-finals on Thursday, semi-finals on Friday and singles finals on Saturday. The men’s doubles final was scheduled for Friday and women’s doubles for Saturday. Use the 2027 published schedule to confirm the new pattern. Check precisely which courts your ticket covers and how unreserved access works; a grounds product should never be assumed to include an allocated Centre Court seat.

Route schematic, not a map. The walk is the LTA’s estimate. Route 90 is a 2026 example; confirm the 2027 route, hours and your gate before travel.

Eastbourne station is a useful arrival point for a car-free trip. The LTA estimates a 15–20 minute walk to Devonshire Park and about ten minutes from the town centre. Southern describes direct journeys from London Victoria at around 90 minutes and from Brighton at around 40 minutes; check the actual train for your travel date. Add platform time, the final walk and gate checks before deciding when to leave your hotel.

The 2026 travel page offered a Route 90 event shuttle connecting the station, with adult fares of £2 single or £4 return. Treat the shuttle route, hours and fare as 2026 information until the new timetable appears. Use the organiser’s travel page for event parking and the Saffrons arrangements instead of assuming ordinary street spaces will be available. If you need a guaranteed accessible parking place, arrange it through the access booking process.

For departure, check the evening rail service before you enter the venue. A hotel in town removes the pressure to leave a close match for the last Brighton or London train. If you are staying elsewhere, choose a realistic return and an alternative. Leave time for a busy exit and station walk, and keep your rail ticket accessible alongside the event app.

Accessibility

Eastbourne station has step-free access to all platforms. Southern, the station operator, and National Rail classify it as Category A. Check assistance and the train-to-platform gap for your service if you need help boarding. The route from the station to the park remains a separate street journey: check crossings, pavements and your gate on the current map before deciding to walk.

Choose the wheelchair or ease-of-access ticket option before payment. The LTA’s current booking instructions add a companion alongside a wheelchair place; ease-of-access customers can request an essential companion through the booking options. Confirm the seat combination with ticketing if your needs fall outside those choices. Ask about a route with the fewest stairs, the distance to toilets and whether your whole party can sit together. A general seat bought first can be difficult to exchange later.

The LTA’s published access information identifies accessible toilets, a Quiet Room, sensory bags and wheelchair charging assistance through the information point. It describes free accessible parking near Gate 7 booked with an accessible ticket, subject to availability. The 2026 Saffrons shuttle had limited wheelchair capacity. Contact the organiser about the full arrival plan if you need parking or a shuttle space; a step-free station alone cannot settle those arrangements.

What to bring and entry rules

Pack comfortable shoes, a light waterproof, a warm layer, sunscreen and a hat. June can feel very different in exposed seating from the walk through town. A compact power bank helps with mobile tickets and the journey home; keep your ticket app working before you leave the hotel. Leave your overnight bag at your accommodation so you can move easily through security and between courts.

The 2026 LTA bag limit was 40 × 30 × 30cm, plus one small item up to 20 × 15 × 15cm. Eastbourne’s 2026 alcohol allowance was one 750ml wine or Champagne bottle, or two 500ml beers, or two premixed drinks up to 330ml each per person. Spirits were prohibited and glass was excluded from court stands. Recheck the 2027 terms before bringing alcohol.

Treat this as a day of outdoor grass-court tennis. If play stops, use the official announcements to decide whether to wait, take a food break or change your travel plans. Read the wet-weather policy attached to your ticket: rain alone does not tell you the refund outcome. A rigid dinner reservation or the last possible train makes a long match harder to enjoy. Leave some room in your budget and your evening for the unexpected.

Food and drink at the venue

The current venue information describes cashless, wheelchair-accessible food outlets and menus with dietary options. The 2027 choices will be published nearer the event. Personal food is permitted under the published food page, and wooden or bamboo cutlery is requested. Free accessible BRITA refill points make a reusable bottle useful throughout an outdoor day. Check the detailed entry conditions alongside the food page when choosing containers.

Plan lunch around your matches. Buy food before settling in for a long contest, or keep a snack handy so you can wait for a natural break. Bring a refillable bottle and locate the nearest water point early in the day. For allergies, speak to the outlet staff about ingredients and preparation; a dietary label is only the start of that conversation. If you bring a picnic, keep it easy to carry and clear your rubbish before moving to another court.

Where to stay

For the simplest tennis weekend, stay in Eastbourne and walk to the park. Seafront accommodation can put an evening promenade and breakfast close to your daily route; a town-centre room helps with trains and luggage. Meads suits a quieter neighbourhood stay, while Brighton adds city evenings at the cost of a repeated train journey. Check the map carefully: “seafront” covers a long stretch, so the actual address matters.

Journey times are door-to-gate estimates from a well-connected spot in each area. They include waiting and the final walk, and will vary with the hotel address, traffic and crowds. Price levels are a rough guide: check live prices for your dates. Compare the same dates, room occupancy, breakfast and cancellation terms, then add the daily transport cost. Ask about luggage storage if you arrive before check-in or leave after a full day of tennis.

Make a weekend of it

The pier and bandstand give you easy seafront options around a tennis day. Use their current programmes to choose an evening activity, and keep a ticketed performance separate from a match you want to watch to the end. A promenade walk can be a flexible way to unwind without another transport connection. Book dinner near your hotel if you expect a late finish and want a relaxed return.

Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters deserve their own time outdoors. The official tourism site describes the chalk cliffs and routes around the South Downs; choose a walk that matches your energy, weather and transport. Stay well back from cliff edges and allow time for the return journey. Avoid putting a long cliff walk before a full tennis session: save the more ambitious outing for your free day.

Planning timeline

In October–December 2026, choose the kind of day you want and sign up for the organiser’s ticket news. Compare hotel areas before committing to a room. In January–February 2027, watch for priority access and general-sale announcements; buy the date and court you actually want, then match your travel to that ticket. These are planning tasks, not announced sales deadlines.

In March–April, check accommodation cancellation dates and any parking or accessibility booking process. In May, revisit the player list and event schedule, remembering that entries can change. In early June, check the current bag rules, ticket app, gate map and return services. The evening before your visit, read the Order of Play and weather forecast; on the morning itself, check transport disruption and charge your phone.

For Eastbourne, wait for the detailed 2027 qualifying and round schedule before fixing a finals or opening-weekend trip. If Brighton is your base, check engineering works and Sunday services as well as ordinary weekday journey times. Confirm whether your hotel can keep luggage while you enjoy your final tennis day.

The LTA labels 19–26 June 2027 provisional. Hospitality is listed for 21–26 June, but the detailed qualifying and daily schedule still needs publication.

Is Eastbourne station step-free?

Yes. Southern and National Rail confirm step-free access to all platforms. Check boarding assistance and the final street route separately.

Build a grass-season trip around your ticketed days and leave a travel buffer between cities. Qualifying, women’s and men’s finals can fall on different days, so compare the actual event schedules before booking a multi-stop itinerary. Each event uses its own tickets and entry rules; a grounds pass at one venue gives no access at another. London makes a useful link between rail journeys, but an evening match can remove the time you expected to have for a transfer.
