2027 planning: The organiser confirms women’s WTA 125 on 5–10 July and men’s ATP 250 on 11–18 July 2027. Ticket sales are advertised for 2 February 2027; prices will follow.

Two confirmed weeks of clay-court tennis
Nordea Open returns to Båstad Tennis Stadium in Sweden with both women’s and men’s events in 2027. The organiser advertises WTA 125 on 5–10 July and ATP 250 on 11–18 July. Use those complete event ranges when choosing your week. The ATP calendar’s week-start entry is not the full spectator programme and should not replace the organiser’s confirmed range.
Pick the women’s week if that is the competition you want to follow, or the men’s week for the ATP event. For a longer holiday, you can compare a stay spanning the changeover, then choose individual court days when ticket categories are released. Keep the women’s and men’s bookings distinct so every traveller knows which sessions they will attend.
The stadium is in central Båstad near the beach. Arena Båstad AB gives Seglarplan 4, 269 33 Båstad as its organiser address; use the spectator entrance on the event map for arrival. A sea-side base makes sense if you want the tennis and town together. A rail-connected alternative can work if you are comfortable with the final bus journey.

Ticket release and court access
The organiser’s 2027 ticket page advertises sales starting on 2 February 2027. Join its update list if you want the release reminder. It has not yet displayed 2027 session prices, so wait for the actual Swedish-krona day and seat categories before setting your ticket budget. Follow the official page to its ticket partner, Tickster.
Under the current published access policy, Centre Court needs a reserved-seat ticket. Court 1 uses free seating, but you still need a Centre Court ticket or Ground Pass to enter that part of the arena. Lower courts 2–5 are described as free to enter, including selected main-draw matches; they also host qualifying and practice. Check the new programme to see what is actually scheduled there on your day.
Decide whether you want a reserved seat or the freedom to explore before paying. Check the dates against the women’s and men’s weeks, then save the confirmation offline. Read the weather and cancellation terms attached to your purchase. Accommodation and transport have their own conditions, so compare those separately from the tennis ticket.

Copenhagen Airport and the onward journey
Compare flights to Copenhagen Airport for a UK journey with a rail connection into southern Sweden. British Airways currently quotes direct London–Copenhagen flights around 1 hour 50 minutes. This is a present route benchmark, not the final July 2027 timetable. The organiser also lists Ängelholm/Helsingborg, Malmö and Gothenburg airports as alternatives; check the complete onward journey before choosing one.
Search Skånetrafiken from Copenhagen Airport to your actual Båstad destination. Use the itinerary it supplies for trains, any changes and the town bus. Its app and ticket machines show the fare for your selected journey; a confirmed 2027 airport-to-Båstad transfer price is not yet published on the event page. Leave room in the budget for the complete transfer instead of applying a Copenhagen city fare.
Arrival the previous day can make your first court morning easier. Allow for the border, luggage and the station connection before arranging a fixed-time activity. Keep the passport accessible on the cross-border journey. Save your hotel and route offline, and compare the return airport connection before selecting a late final day or an early flight home.

Båstad station, bus 501 and the stadium
Båstad railway station is the start of the final transfer, not a reason to assume the courts are beside the platform. The organiser describes regional bus 501 from station stop A to central Båstad. For the Tennis Stadium and Hotel Skansen, get off at Båstad Torget: its current estimate is around 13 minutes on the bus, followed by a 200-metre downhill walk towards the hotel.
Choose the right endpoint in the ticket search. The organiser says a ticket to Båstad Bus Station includes the connecting bus for individual travellers, with no extra connection charge; this does not apply to groups. Confirm that your actual rail purchase has that coverage. Otherwise buy the bus ticket shown by Skånetrafiken.
For drivers, the event points to public parking at Prästliden near the church and estimates a five-minute walk to the arena. Pay through the accepted card or app method and check the current rate on arrival. Keep your parking choice separate from the ticketed entrance. Let the day’s order of play and the last return bus shape your departure.

Allow space for the train-to-bus connection
The organiser explicitly warns that the usual four-to-six-minute train-to-bus transfer may feel tight for passengers with reduced mobility or large groups. Ask about a later connection or arrange a suitable taxi if that is more comfortable. Check the station, bus boarding and downhill approach together before choosing the route.
Öresundståg describes a lower entrance in the middle carriage, a boarding ramp available with staff help, wheelchair spaces and an accessible toilet. Arrange assistance with the relevant operator and tell it about your equipment. The cross-border assistance arrangements have their own booking requirements, so organise those early instead of assuming help will appear at every change.
Ask Nordea Open and Tickster about the 2027 viewing position, companion booking and accessible entrance. The sponsor’s existing accessibility work is useful background, but it does not confirm a new ticket entitlement. Check the event’s current access map and your hotel’s room layout directly. Keep a second final-transfer plan ready so a delayed connection does not decide whether you can enjoy the day.

Sweden entry requirements and the Danish route
British citizens can visit Sweden for tourism without a visa within the Schengen allowance of 90 days in any 180-day period. GOV.UK sets the passport tests: issued less than ten years before arrival and valid for at least three months after departure from Schengen. Count a Danish stop and other Schengen holidays within the same allowance.
EES is in operation, with biometric checks where required. GOV.UK currently says ETIAS is expected from autumn 2026 and no action is required at this stage. Recheck before the 2027 trip. Sweden also maintains border controls for arrivals from Denmark via the Öresund crossing, so keep your passport to hand even after arriving at Copenhagen Airport.
Carry your accommodation, return journey and insurance information. If travelling with children, read the GOV.UK requirements for your family circumstances before departure. Check customs rules for the food and medicines you intend to take. Keep the border documents separate from your tennis ticket and allow time for checks in both the outward and homeward travel plan.

Five bases for a Båstad tennis break
Stay around Båstad harbour and the stadium if short local journeys are the main priority. Malen, Torekov and a larger nearby town widen the search, but each changes how you get home after a late match. Price levels are a rough guide: check live prices for your dates.
Use the right tournament week, room occupancy and cancellation terms in every search. Compare daily transport, breakfast and parking alongside the headline room price. An apartment can suit a longer break, but check the exact address and arrival arrangements. For an accessible stay, ask about the room and bathroom directly and map the route to the courts.
Choose a base that supports the holiday you want. A nearby room is useful if several tennis days matter most; a wider area can fit a trip with a car and separate coast outings. Check the evening connection before paying for a property outside town. Reserve sightseeing for a non-tennis day so neither part of the break depends on a match finishing at a fixed time.

Four coast and garden ideas
Start with a Båstad beach walk on a free morning. The municipal beach information helps you choose a suitable spot and check facilities, while the event places the stadium close to the sea. Keep swim plans flexible for the actual conditions, and leave time to change before your court session.
Make Norrviken Gardens a separate outing. Its operator publishes the approach and visitor information, so check those details before choosing a day. Hovs Hallar offers a different coastal setting between Båstad and Torekov; select a walk that fits your footwear, mobility and the weather. A reserve outing deserves its own transport plan.
Torekov’s harbour and beach make a fourth idea for the wider Bjäre break. Compare the current journey and return before going, especially if you are using buses. If you only have one day: keep the tennis central, take a short town or beach stroll when convenient, and leave a comfortable buffer for your station transfer. With a weekend, add a garden or coast day.

Plan the summer clay season
Compare Gstaad and Kitzbühel for other summer clay destinations. Their mountain setting creates a different holiday from Båstad’s coast. Use the guide dates and each organiser’s actual programme before combining events, then check the travel between destinations separately.
Choose your Nordea Open week, wait for the published seat offer and organise a base with a workable return route. Revisit the official event pages near departure for entrances, bags and the daily order of play. Give the holiday enough breathing room for a beach day or a delayed match. The best itinerary leaves you time to enjoy both the courts and the town.
